Summer Bucket List

Now that it’s finally cooling down here in Phoenix, I’m trying to seize the last few weeks of summer. With limited summer days on the horizon, I put together a summer bucket list of everything I still want to do. I’ll update this post with updates and photos as I check things off, so come back to see how many items I complete. I hope this inspires you to make fun plans before it’s officially pumpkin season!

Go to a country concert. So I cheated on this one, but we have two shows coming up, but neither of them is country, so I settled for Whiskey Row. Maybe next year, I’ll be able to convince Brett to go to Nashville again.

Host a game night. Brett’s brother and his girlfriend came over to play Catan. It was a close game at the end (we’re a competitive bunch), but I won! I didn’t realize I forgot to get a photo until they left. #BloggerFail

Have a summer-themed movie marathon. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites that I’ve binged recently. These movies are perfect for those scorching hot days when you want to stay indoors and escape for a few hours.

Read some beach reads. As many of you know, I’ve been obsessed with the new The Summer I Turned Pretty series on Amazon Prime. So much so that I reread the last book in the trilogy (my fave of the three). I also have a few more beach reads I’m waiting to get my hands on from my library, including Out of the Clear Blue Sky, Every Summer After, and It Happened One Summer.

Take a road trip. We road-tripped to Bisbee, a unique little town with a funky art and culture scene. I’ve wanted to visit this quaint mining town, so we decided to make a quick weekend road trip here when our original plans got scrapped. Read my one-day itinerary here.

Visit the farmers market. I love discovering and browsing at farmers markets on Saturday mornings. We recently checked out the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market and grabbed coffee and vegan donuts while we were there.

Have a picnic. Brett surprised me with a picnic while we were in San Diego. It was the aesthetic picnic of my dreams, and then he proposed during our picnic! I’ll share the whole engagement story on the blog soon.

Go camping.

Go to the drive-in.

Grill out.

Splurge on a pair of everyday sunglasses.

Watch a sunset from a rooftop.

Which of these have you checked off? What’s on your summer bucket list? I’d love to hear what’s on your list in the comments! To see my other lifestyle posts, click here. xo

I wish we had more drive-in’s around us! I’ve only ever been to one and it was so fun! I can’t believe how quickly summer is going by!

  3. One of my items was to escape our 100-degree temps for a while. And we were blessed to be able to take an Alaskan cruise. We just came home the night before last. At least, the temps are under 100 now. 🙂

I was just checking on my summer bucket list this morning and just have 2 things left– our Disney/Universal trip later this month and taking my younger 2 boys on a day trip or two. I was pretty impressed; though I did keep my bucket list much smaller this year.

Love this! It’s never too late to create a bucket list. I am also going to do one for fall! I might even do one for August/September (early fall) and then true fall. Love the intentionality and it makes me have more fun!

I wanted to go see Stevie Nicks but sadly we had car repairs, so my summer list is slowly not going as planned. I still have two things left on my list, a renaissance festival and to go to the state fair!

Love this bucket list! I was starting to feel the summer slip away so I started planning activities and making a bucket list as well.

Go to the local farmers market.

Take the gondola up to Mount Ranier and go to the highest elevation restaurant in Washington (going this Sunday)!

Get a cabin near North Cascades National Park.

    Have a summer bbq/party.

    😊☀️🏔

Have fun checking things off your bucket list!
