Tierra Luna Spa Solstice Retreat at Arizona Biltmore Recap

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my stories from my time at the Arizona Biltmore a few weekends ago to preview their unique Tierra Luna Spa Solstice Retreat. It’s a 3-day, 2-night retreat designed by a team of Tierra Luna Spa wellness experts that includes rejuvenating activities (sunrise walks, yoga, aqua fitness, somatic breathwork, sound healing, and outdoor painting, etc.), restful downtime (to explore the property, historical tours, and leisure activities), and nourishing cuisine. I’ll share the transformational journey we experienced at this retreat and why you should attend in September.

My morning began with leaving my poor fiancé behind at home (who was supposed to join me) because he’d been up all night with an unfortunate case of food poisoning. I called him as I was getting close to the resort to check in on him but mostly to gush about the stunning estate homes, well-manicured golf courses, and beautiful palm trees. The whole Biltmore area is gorgeous and feels like a peaceful desert oasis.

Upon arrival, a friendly valet welcomed me and parked my car. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a stunning lobby entrance with multiple dining options. After all the ladies arrived, we were ushered to Renata’s Private Dining Room for breakfast and introductions. Managing Director Michael Hoffmann and Senior Director of Tierra Luna Spa & Retail Becky Leuluai took time out of their busy day to join us for breakfast and share more about Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden. I also met all the other talented ladies who are full-time bloggers/writers, which was incredibly inspiring! As we all chatted, the chef offered numerous healthy breakfast options. Of course, I had the delicious avocado toast with a poached egg.

After breakfast, we took a tour of the Biltmore. Even if you can’t attend the wellness retreat, the resort is well worth a trip with its numerous restaurants, desert-chic spa, and seven pools. They underwent a $70 million renovation a few years ago that infused a modern feel while maintaining the architectural details. The photo below is of the exclusive, all-inclusive Citrus Club — how cute is this lounge?!

We had a cacao ceremony and a sound & reiki ritual for our morning workshop. Renowned wellness experts Reiki master Danielle Nicole and meditation guide Sam Harper facilitated the experience. I recommend trying once if you’ve never experienced a cacao ritual or a sound bath!

During lunch, we split into two groups for halotherapy and lunch. I first went to the salt room, where we sat and breathed in the air with tiny salt particles. Then I ordered the Mediterranean bowl for lunch, which was refreshing after eating more fast food than usual amidst moving.

Our last official item on the fun day’s itinerary was to experience the gorgeous spa. Despite numerous people waiting for treatments, it didn’t feel crowded. The serene atmosphere set the tone for some major pampering. My 50-minute Sonoran Healing Massage was a highlight for me, which was incredibly relaxing. Some other ladies received the Tierra Grounding Facial, which also sounded incredible.

As our day began to wind down, they generously invited us to explore more of the resort or return to the Citrus Club for refreshments. While that sounded dreamy, I decided to be a good fiancée and stopped to pick up some meds and soup for Brett on my way home.

When the valet brought my car around, I left feeling grateful, inspired, and rejuvenated. You can reserve your spots here for the Tierra Luna Spa Solstice Retreat. xo

Thank you to Arizona Biltmore for inviting me to preview the wellness retreat. As always, all opinions are my own.
